Advice About Salvation

Return to Original Post

Cynthia, God sent His son to restore our relationship that should have been ours if it were not for sin. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. They disobeyed God's only stipulation for their life: Not to eat from the tree of knowledge. When they did, The Spirit of God, the fullness of God died in them and they then knew evil and from that moment on lives would be changed because of it.

If you will look up these verses and ask God to reveal the truth in them, I believe you will get off the fence and run to Jesus and find peace for the first time in your life.

1John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Genesis 1:1 says In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Romans 3:26 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ the Lord

Romans 5:8 God showed His love to us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believeth for righteousness and with the mouth confession is made for salvation.

So if you believe that Jesus is God's son and that He paid for your sin when He died on the Cross and rose from the dead, you are saved. Then read all the book of John and get to know who it is who loves you. Trust His word for it is life. Read John 10 over and over and realize that He is your Shepherd and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

I pray that you will just in faith trust Him, When you do, you will never be the same. And you will never want to turn back.

Thank you for asking.
